A beautiful house full of mysteries. Perfect for visual arts, embodied narratives, performative walks, Shakespeares on the go, electro acoustic music festivals, and as location for film stars, and for experimental film, and much more. The hosts Lucy and Eddie make you feel more than welcome. They give great feedback and help you go beyond your original plans and ideas. They are smart, friendly and have a great sense of humour. The house also has two very characteristic cats.

Fantastic white wall gallery space in a grade II listed building - one of Margate's historical gems. I curated and exhibited here for 2 weeks in September and the working with the Gordon House team was fantastic - very friendly and professional. Highly recommend it to artists for shows and residencies.

Absolutely wonderful gallery - professional, exciting, interesting space - a real pleasure to visit as both a gallery attendee, and working with them for exhibitions. The owners are marvellous. Every exhibition is thoughtful and inspiring, and well programmed. I would highly recommend a visit when you're in Margate.

An excellent place to exhibit. The hosts were extremely accommodating to install works without a hanging system. A great place for single or group shows. We were invited for a get together supper after the exhibition finished to share feedback. Highly recommended!

I was made so welcome by Lucy and Jeff I almost forgot I had not met them before I arrived. The room I stayed in was large and comfortable and my host’s entirely unobtrusive care and attention made the whole experience a joy. Thanks so much to them both.

Atmospheric house and lovely people.

I recently had a solo exhibtion, 'Displaced Portraits', at Gordon House as part of Margate Now 2019 art festival. The basement gallery provided an excellent clear space to show subtle silverpoint drawings. Eddie and Lucy were lovely hosts. I really appreciated the chance to show a substantial body of work in this versatile space.
