Staff are friendly & great for click & collect service. I find the interior rather disorganised & not so easy to find anything & music playing loud enough to hear over my ear pods.

Didn't take long to find what I wanted n staff always helpful n willing.

Picked up a couple of 4K's on the 2 for £30 offer, or at least that's what I thought I was picking up. They had out of date stickers and promotions on films on an offer that already ended. One of the films was on the offer the other was not, despite the sticker on the product saying it was. I've had this problem a fair few times when visiting different HMV's, or a wrong price on the product for example. We are all human and we all make mistakes. Usually the staff just apologise then put it through at the advertised price, as most retailers would, as they are the ones who are in the wrong. However in this particular occurrence I was met with a rude, arrogant, unpleasant and later I'd find out liar of a manager. After trying to make my purchase, one 4K was on the falsely advertised offer, I was refused the transaction then met with hostility after I questioned why. He called one of his colleagues to quickly check the shop floor to remove any other out of date labels of other products, then he proceeded to take the discs and put them under the counter completely out of my reach and removing any proof that he was in wrong. Unbeknownst to him at the time I had already taken a picture of the discs on the offer. I was refused the transaction and not given any reason as to why other than he can't sell them to me". I asked to see in writing the companies policy that he can do this

Went to buy a 4K movie from this store in Colchester until I was greeted by a really rude manager at the tills. He spoke down to me as if I was stupid and refused to give me a physical receipt and instead demanded he did it digitally as apparently this what most customers do these days. When I said no and opted for a physical receipt, he got rude again and displayed a bad attitude. This manager is a joke, and needs more training in customer service.

Love this shop amazing atmosphere with good music

Today was going to buy couple things for my daughter including shopping sack with funny cat showing middle finger on it lol. It was next to other shopping sacks. All of them was priced 3.99£. Came to till to pay for all items. Cashier instead of scanning items spent about two min checking some codes and told me its not the price for the shopping sack. I replied price is as per lable and you guys placed lables on items. She blamed someone who changed price for it and obviously didnt admitted human error.Simple sorry would do and i would pay another 3quid for the sack on top. But why should I if item is labled otherwise. And it wasnt simple sticker, it was plactic bit which goes through material. But cahier was rude and carried on boring stuff about someone changing lables blah blah blah( probably she meant me having all the machinery to do that lol). I was willing to spent my money there, but havent heard even somple sorry for human error, so i just waived left all items on the till and walked away empty handed, but with smile on my face as saved couple quid on overpriced items. Will get something similar elsewhere. Will not go there anymore aswell. Thats why 1 star. If i could it would be 0

I still like to buy cd's and where else is there.
