Fish processing

A little bit of heaven, lovely small lake, gives you the chance to relax , catch nice fish. You an also enjoy the ambience , of the seating area overlooking the lake enjoy a glass of wine, or coffee. When I got there , guidance was being given to young and up coming fisherman. A prefect place for a day out, when school has broken up. Cost , it is one of the best priced lakes around Hampshire. They also smoke their own fish, so you can buy some for that special supper.

Great choice of fresh fish and sea food although sometimes a little pricey. Lovely customer service, very friendly and helpful staff with good knowledge of products.

Excellent service and top class fish. These guys work from very early on the morning so it is hardly surprising that they close by lunch time. I am puzzled why anyone should give a low rating to a business for merely closing there doors , I would have thought the rating should reflect the products and customer service rather than something as petty as closing time that didn't suit one person. This is not a high street shop and they always have a telephone should anyone think to use it to make an order or enquire on opening times. Lets give these businesses a bit of encouragement rather than condem them on trivia.

Lovely place. We went for a (late) lunch and were happy to still get served which is hardly guaranteed ou on the islands here!The salmon taster plate and the lamb croquettes were extremely tasty and we went for an accompaniment of leafy salad and some cheese and herb scones plus local drinks. The scones arrived warm, so bonus points for this. The North Uist Downpour gin was lovely with the salmon too! The Skye beer selection got full approval as well. Service was friendly and spot on. Great place I would highly recommend. Stylish, tasty local food and a great drinks list - it doesn't need more than that. The music was maybe a tad on the loud side (or it's just a sign I'm getting old...).

Weird to see any bad reviews to be honest - we think Forman & Field do the best smoked salmon! Just received a hamper from them as a present and it's all delicious - thick, tasty, and nice flavours like their beetroot and wasabi options as well as the original.

I have been buying various fish such as the delicious salmon fillets from Tom for a few years now. The quality is amazing. I would never buy salmon from a supermarket again, the fillets are much bigger than those you find in any supermarket and when cooked are incredible, which for me unquestionably makes them value for money. More recently I have been regularly buying some chicken products especially the chicken goujons which my husband is obsessed with as he says they are the best by far! The chicken portions are big tenders and again fantastic quality which are what I have found with everything I have bought from Tom.Not only that Tom and his little team could not be nicer and more helpful if they tried!I most certainly will be continuing to buy from Tom for years to come hopefully!!
