Canoe & Kayak Shop

Dared to park outside this shop a couple of days ago, I made sure not to park blocking the front of the shop as I am considerate like that. I was parked legitimately with my disabled badge clearly showing and was greeted with a most rude 'gentleman' coming out of the shop who started to rant at me about, including calling me names and asking me you're not going to dump that there are you?". He claimed to be working at the shop and refused to tell me if he was the owner or not but he claimed he would not be able to get ladders into the shop or through the alleyway to the side of the shop. I felt very afraid and moved my car. He was lucky I did not get the police involved as no one should be treated like this whilst going about their business."

This company are bribing people for 5 star reviews which is extremely unethical! I purchased a Sevylor kayak from them last year - it was not the quality I expected and I returned it as it was lopsided. I couldn’t fault the returns policy but they did not have the more expensive one I wanted in stock. Very disappointed that they are breaching the trust of people reading these reviews by offering 10 free kayaks for good reviews.

Good place for hiring a boat.In the summer they also do fun coaching sessions. When I was younger these kept me entertained during the summer holidays and taught me the basics up to more advanced kayaking skills.Everyone who works there is genuine and the prices are very competetive. The stretch of water is nice.They also have a site at Warwick called warwick boats. Warwick boats is more specialized for hiring pedalos, rowing boats, dragon boats etc

I have done a couple of trips now with Outdoor Explore and both have been hugely enjoyable. One was a gentle paddle on the River Isla with lots of bird life to see and peace in all directions. The other was on the River Tay at Broughty Ferry which is a great way to see the place from a different angle. Piotr is an excellent instructor, he takes the time to get you comfortable in the kayak before setting off and is patient with those, like myself, who have little experience. As for his guide skills, he knows his stuff on local history and sights and I learned some new things despite living in the area for 25 years. Will definitely be booking again as there is a wide selection of different tours and the experience overall is excellent!

We didn't really know exactly which kayak we wanted and the staff were extremely patient, knowledgeable, and willing to let us explore different options. In price terms, they were on par with or below most online sellers.The product we purchased was very well packaged, excellent quality and has been in near constant daytime use without issue.I would thoroughly recommend Cambridge Kayaks for anyone looking for a kayak, whatever your experience and knowledge level.

Just bought my second Kayak from this amazing company, the first one being under the P and H umbrella. What a terrific experience, that even though I bought from a dealer partner (The boathouse, Norfolk) was still a positive experience from Pyrahna who helped me loads with sourcing and outfitting my boat.The best way I can explain it is, they feel like you are dealing with a small family business, but they happen to ship hundreds or boats a year all over the world! I suspect I'm a customer for life!

Great store, bought a sit on top kayak from there today. Dealt with Duncan who is very knowledgeable and full of advice assisting me in choosing the right kayak. Would highly recommend for anyone looking at buying a kayak/canoe. Great selection of boats in stock.

I noticed an issue with the first inflation of my board when testing it on the water. I’ve tried numerous ways of contacting Hiks to have my board exchanged, and I feel I’m being ignored. We went with Hiks because we had seen that their customer service was meant to be good, and they responded quickly and efficiently. So far, that doesn’t appear to be the case for us. Very disappointed.

Very very pleased with Rockpool. I have ovned a Menai, Alaw and now both a Alaw Bach and a Taran.

Great quality kayak, great price, delivered next day, could not have asked for any better, great all round service, cheers.
