Button Boutique
In the years I've been visiting, I've only found items I needed about a third of the time and staff have generally been brusque to the point of rudeness. After today, where I asked about a different colour for something they stock and was treated like an irksome moron because apparently if it's not on the shelves they don't have it (so no stock room, no offer to order it) I will not be going back. Shame, because I like to support local businesses where possible, but not if they're going to make me feel like I'm of no value.

Hoo News
A very disappointing and transactional experience. I greeted the shop-keeper (mother) with a happy good morning" but got nothing back! Advised I was completing a Hermes return but only had a QR Code. Shop-keeper presumed I knew how to use the printer which I didn't. It was only after my tonality changed she attempted to navigate

Williamsons Haberdashery
Beware!!I Took two pairs of Armani jeans in to this shop to have the legs taken up. After asking if they could do this. What a total disaster. It looks like they let a child loose on the sewing machine.Absolute nightmare service. Would not recommend.

The Stitchery
We love The Stitchery! Absolute gem of a place in beautiful Upton. They have everything you need and more and Shirley the owner is friendly and very knowledgeable. These shops are few and far between these days so well worth the drive! We’ll be back x

Buttons And Blethers
I have been going to Buttons and Blethers sewing class for 7 weeks now and I absolutely love it. Maggie is a great teacher, I didn't know a thing about sewing before I started and I've learnt so much already. The shop itself is a wee hidden gem, filled with loads of beautiful fabrics and crafts. Would definitely recommend this shop and the classes.

EWE Wool Shop
My mum popped in today to ask for some help with a knitting project she was stuck with. The assistant in the shop asked if the wool and pattern were purchased from Ewe, to which the answer was no. The response was 'then i'm sorry I can't help you'.This is very disappointing. Do you not think that by providing some advice or guidance, which costs you nothing, you may gain a future customer? My mum was fully intending to purchase a new pattern and more wool once this project was finished, but it certainly won't be from Ewe after such terrible customer service!

Siôp Helen Wool
This is a lovely wool shop and I stock up with patterns and wool every time I am in Anglesey on holiday. I am loving knitting once again for my grandson. Helen is always very helpful and has even shown me how to work some of the difficult parts of a pattern. The best stocked wool shop I have ever been in. Well worth a visit!

Franklins
My machine developed a major problem right before I was going away for a sewing retreat. The mechanic stepped in to save my long awaited sewing ‘holiday’ and repaired the machine and checked everything else out at the same time. Thank you Steve!
