One of the worst decisions of my life was to study here, more specifically art and design. Where do I start? The facilities are extremely poor and dirty, there is a lack of support and disinterest from staff that had students frequently harassing and distracting others from education there were instances of abuse, verbal, sexual harassment, stalking etc. I understand that ultimately you cannot control the behaviour of other people, but students were extremely innapropriate, dangerous even, this is not usual behaviour and a line really has to be drawn however you put it.I came from a keen, hardworking 16 year old to leave at 18 and despise the place actually leading in a pretty severe personal break down due to the fact I had to finish the degree and endure the hell. The students are not taken seriously as seen in other accounts, there is ONE councillor for the entire college, and with depression and mental health issues on the rise with Students its a concern of mine. I am not asking for understanding or even compassion, I am asking for basic mental health support, YOU are supposed to be the adults here, this is your job you get paid for it, stop the reluctance and actually help your students. Specifically Kay Wilson" who allowed a student to self harm in her office due to no support whatsoever. There is very little preparation for further study and careers and after I left I was entirely left on my own

Doing 5 Star so this can be seen by all, This College/University have absolutely terrible communication, and they refuse to help you throughout the course clearly picking by out favourites in the class. They have zero care for helping those with mental health issues and it’s instead like to say ‘that’s life get over it’ when you gain courage to actually speak up about it. They then unjustly fail you after they refuse to help in anyway shape or form even higher up side with their colleagues instead of listening to the student. Their student councillors do the one session and even if you book another session they don’t make one and you hear nothing back from them.If you are looking to go here I’d 100% not recommend I’d suggest looking into other other places such as Newcastle where the teachers actually care and know what they are doing.

The history department, especially the new head, is very rude and unhelpful. Another cash cow university to attract international students with mediocre standard of teaching, rude staff, unhelpful professors who are always striking and almost never respond to emails and when you email them again they get very rude - how dare you disturb them.Extremely wealthy university that can’t pay their staff properly which leads to continuous strike actions and missed lectures and seminars. No compensation of course £30k in debt for this ridiculous experience and standard of teaching. Some professors I had were really good and I will undoubtedly cherish everything they’ve taught me. However, the way the department is run just ruins the experience for the student. In the end, they don’t care about you and your well being. You’re just cash for the institution and that’s about it.Don’t have very high hopes about this university. Wasn’t my first choice and rightfully so.***this university keeps getting worse and worse - was told today at maughan library that I can’t use the PCs as an alumni! What can I do as an alumni? Regret my choice to study at kings????? USELESS

Completed my GCSE Maths here as an adult learner with the amazing Julie. Fantastic learning atmosphere during the once a week evening session, very well structured and delivered by someone who knows her stuff. Actually miss my Wednesday nights doing GCSE Maths!
